TheSketchers.com was created in 2009 by Topher McFarlane as an outlet to create and promote Canadian Comedy online. Focusing specifically on Canadian content, TheSketchers.com began producing high content sketch comedy and promoting up and coming comedians online. Working with new Canadian talent, such as Canadian Idol’s Mark Day, Glamazon Yoko Sanchez, and Second City Graduates Chelsea Larkin & Jeremy Knight, TheSketchers.com created a library of exclusive online content focusing on the internet as a home for comedy.

In 2010, McFarlane began performing Standup Comedy to see what it was that the talented comedians of Toronto went through. The few laughs he got on stage, encouraged him to create a showcase for talented individuals that would be well produced and well attended, and thus he created GLAM! as a night to exhibit Glamour, power and humor in Toronto.
